Hi there, I'm Aubrey

it's so nice to meet you!

Hey, I’m Aubrey, the face, heart, and slightly film-obsessed soul behind Aubrey Maxwell Photography. I’m a wedding and couples photographer based in Utah, documenting love stories all over. I strive to blend the beauty of editorial posing with the authenticity of candid, documentary moments in all of my work. I am drawn to the the quiet, the chaotic, the joyful, and the beautifully imperfect moments that speak to your love story.

My love for photography started back in middle school, and over the years it’s grown into something much deeper. For me, It is a way to preserve connection, nostalgia, and emotion. In everything I shoot I combine digital and film. There's nothing like the dreamy texture of Super 8 or the creamy colors of medium format. I bring jokes, fun, and an intentional approach to every session. Whether we're running through the grass at sunrise or capturing vows during golden hour, I’m here to create art that feels like you.

I'm a digital + film wedding photographer based in Utah, but capturing the magic of love globally.

Golden Girls is my comfort show and I have watched it through at least 3 times from start to finish.

one

No matter what I am doing I am always listening to music. Right now I am loving Maggie Rogers.

Two

I'm not much of a homebody. I am my happiest when I am traveling to new places and meeting people.

Three

My favorite musical is Hamilton and I know it all by heart.

Four

If I ever had to choose, I would only shoot film for the rest of my life.

Five fun things to know about me

2017

I took a yearbook class and picked up a camera for the first time. This is where I fell in love with documenting. I continued with yearbook until I graduated high school.

2022

2023

While battling cancer, I still went to school and photographed as much as I could wile taking care of my health.

2024

Perhaps my craziest year yet, I solo-photographed nearly 20 weddings and did many more sessions with amazing couples. At the end of 2024 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

I married the love of my life Ty in March of '23. Around the same time I changed major to Photography. I photographed my first 3 weddings at the end of that year.

2025 and beyond...

At the beginning of May I beat cancer after 5 months of chemotherapy and graduated with honors! The whole experience taught me that life and its moments aren't to be taken for granted. I'm so ready to keep documenting beautiful love stories.
